World Cup 1962

Chile score their first goal against Italy in a match referee Ken Aston described as "uncontrollable" because of all the violence which resulted in two red cards. There should however have been several more players sent off as the game was stopped several times because of fighting. Leonel Sanchez, for instance, broke the nose of an Italian player behind the referee's back and escaped. Chile won the soccer match 2-0.
