Robert Rojas faked an injury pretending being
hit by a flare thrown from the crowd. Chilean
officials and medical staff joined in the
acting and escorted the team off the field
hoping to fix a rematch, but TV pictures
showed that the flare didn't make contact
with Rojas. Chile was banned not only from
the 1990 World Cup, but also from qualifying
for 1994. FIFA awarded BRAZIL a 2-0 win.)
