| * WCQ for 1990: Chilean keeper Roberto Rojas faked injury pretending being
hit by a flare thrown from the crowd. Chilean officials and medical staff joined in the acting and escorted the team off
the field hoping to fix a rematch, but TV pictures showed that the flare didn't make contact with Rojas. Chile was banned
not only from the 1990 World Cup, but also from qualifying for 1994. |
