Austria's Peter Artner is sent off against
the USA for a bad tackle on Peter Vermes. The Europeans needed a hatful of goals
to have a chance to progress to the second round and lost temper when they
realized they weren't capable of doing that. Nine players were booked in this
rather violent match which Austria won 2-1.
