        Square measure of the District in central Honsu of Japan is 6,093km2. The prefecture office location is Mito. It has a mountainous northern part and the central part is a plateau, which splits into many watercourses, and the southern part is lowland. The agricultural industry is the most active industry by cultivating rice, barley and tobacco. Recently, vegetables are raised also. There are great fishing grounds in the near sea.     After completion in 1993, it has been used as home grounds of the Gasima Extended (Capacity of 15,000 seats to 43,000 seats) to be used for the 2002 World Cup.
