The square measure in
northeastern Kyushu of Japan is 6,332km2, overlooking Setonaikai. The prefecture office
location is Oita City. The steep Kyushu mountains stretches from the central part to the
southeast and there is a small coastal plain in the northern and eastern part. The weather is
warm and there is no cold area. The farming population is almost 45% and rice, oranges,
and vegetables are raised. Shiitake mushrooms and bamboo are especially famous. Coastal
industrial areas were recently developed and the petrochemical industry is starting to grow.
There are various unique folk events and relics in every area and also the national parks
Setonaikai and Aso are nice to visit. The Beppu hot springs have been famous for a long
time.
The entire stadium is the shape of the globe to transmit the 'Protect Earth's Environment'
message. Sky Cameras are installed to the roof for the first time in the world, which moves
from each goalpost to provide snapshots from new angles for viewers. It was changed into
a soccer stadium by installing 8,000 mobile seats on the athletic field. Its nickname is
"Big Eye," because the membrane roof opens up from the center like eyelids moving
along the curve of your eyes.
