Seoul is the capital of South Korea and one of the
largest cities in the world with 10,3 million people. It's the center for politics, economy and culture since ancient times. Like
many other cities, Seoul can offer a large amount of museums, palaces and parks. Mountains circle Seoul on all sides with Namsan (South Mountain) springing
up in the center. Although the Han River once marked the southern boundary, the city has sprawled across to the southern side with some 2 dozen bridges crossing it and one subway
tunnel underneath. Hosting a world event is nothing new to the people of Seoul. In 1988 they hosted the summer Olympics with success.
Now the city is preparing for yet another major event. The opening ceremony followed by the opening match will take place here.
